What customers say
Quick answers
Can I still install a gas furnace in the Bay Area?
Yes. Under Bay Area Air District rules, gas furnaces made after January 1, 2029 must be zero-NOx to be sold or installed here. Existing furnaces don’t have to be replaced, and a standard gas furnace can be installed today. Rules can change; we follow the current ones.
80% or 96% efficiency?
An 80% furnace costs less and usually reuses your metal flue. A 96% furnace uses less gas but needs plastic vent pipes and a condensate drain. We check the venting at the visit.
One-stage or two-stage?
One-stage is either on or off. Two-stage runs on low most of the time, so it is quieter and keeps temperatures more even. It costs more.
Can I repair instead of replace?
Yes, and we try that first. If we can’t fix your furnace, you pay nothing for the visit.
Do you pull a permit?
Yes, on request. It is quoted separately, and we meet the inspector.
