Questions
How long does a heat pump installation take?
It depends on ducts, electrical and access. Dates come with your final quote.
Will I be without heat during the install?
The furnace comes out on install day and the heat pump is tested in heating before we leave. Some installs take more than one day; you know the schedule in advance.
Does a heat pump work on cold San Mateo County nights?
Yes. Fully electric heat pumps, no gas backup (a rebate requirement). Your quote names the model and its certified rating.
Is the outdoor unit loud?
Inverter units run at low speed most of the time. We don’t publish our own measurements; the model’s sound rating is on the manufacturer’s submittal with your quote.
Do I need a permit, and who gets it?
Yes. We pull it and meet the inspector. Included in the price.
Who actually shows up?
The owner. Mon–Fri, 9am–5pm; evenings and weekends on request.
